So watching the pictures of the soon to be dead Colonel Gaddafi, readily audible in the background are the familiar shouts of ‘Allahu Ackbar’. The famous rallying cry from the Arab world, almost universally found at suicide bombings and beheadings. However I found it rather out of place here.
‘God is great’? I’m sure he is, but your religion sucks!
Really? You don’t think the allied bombing saving this entire little uprising had anything to do with it?
Really, you don’t think that the social media developed in the West was a critical factor in determining this tipping point?
Really you think that after 40 years of power, now that you finally have Gaddafi to do with as you will, that symbolizes your ‘Allahs’ power?
It really does have all too familiar echos of the man, saved by hours of skillful surgery, made possible only by 21st century technology and drugs, rolls out of the operating room, only to thank, yes, you guessed it ‘God’.
Here’s a recommendation to all my theist ‘friends’ around the world. Credit goes to the guy who actually did the work!
Similarly ‘God told me to, so really, its okay’ is not a universal excuse to cleanse you, or your religion of any crime, up to and including genocide. Your guys did the killing, you guys, not your ‘God’ take the responsibility.

Why do you feel the need to make every event that happens in the middle-east some statement about the superiority of the west? Yes, the overthrow of the Gaddafi regime wouldn’t have been possible without social media, but there still is an element of a popular uprising in the area. Would you like them to bow down to the almighty west? They’re Muslims, but not all actions are entirely influenced by Islam, and that’s what you fail to understand.

What about the other example of the man saved by 21st century medicine only to thank his god? He’s equating the two examples. NOWHERE does he state ‘the superiority of the west’. He’s mainly giving light to the superiority of KNOWLEDGE.

Exactly, I wanted to comment on this.
Libyans are saying that they wanted him alive, but “God has his own plans” is being repeated on Al Jazeera Arabic and on tweets.
Well, we know that god doesn’t exist, so he died by man’s plans to kill him. And anyways, if there was a god and he had his plans, then he compelled or forced those to kill him? That means we don’t have free will?
It’s all just bullshit, they are responsible for their crimes and actions. There’s no god to say he told you so or it was part of some divine plan, or part of his retribution. Gaddafi is dead, without a trial and fair punishment. He’s dead. there’s no hell. So how did we mete out punishment other than with his death? Life in prison is the better punishment than death penalty.

‘Allahu Akbar’ is the default call whenever some Islamic is about to engage in some dark-age barbarism.
Stoning a woman to death, blowing up civilians, dragging an elderly man through the streets before executing him.
It’s hard to have sympathy for Ghaddafi if the reports of his actions are to be believed and I can understand the feelings of the mob that ended his life – still, capture and a trial would have been a better outcome. I do wonder how involved he was in the repression and sadism metered out to the Libyan people. He always seemed borderline insane to me and no doubt there were many criminals lurking in his shadow who hold great responsibility for that regime.
I also wonder if the situation is going to change for the better now he’s gone.

Please show me where DF supports the murder and grotesque mutilation of soldiers.
Most of the people on the list you provide have question marks in the note’s column showing no information of what they were in prison for.
DF films has arguably made one threat and that’s was in response to a percived threat made by ThuderF00t, more the act of a moron than a terrorist. Complaining to thunderF00t employers is hardly a terroist act either though it is certainly a very dickish one.

If it was gods will that Gaddafi was caught, then it must been gods will that he ruled Libya for 40 years too. I’m sure the soldiers on Gaddafi side and his administration also thanked Allahs will to let them oppress the rest. So what is gods will? To let Gaddafi rule or die?
